# Kawanishi Kaban sets October preorders for anniversary grabe tote sets

Kawanishi Kaban will open preorders for its eleventh-anniversary grabe and grabe mini sets on 31 October. The canvas totes keep their existing designs; the anniversary change is a coordinated small-wallet and charm arrangement, offered in four colour pairings.

## A bundle, rather than a redesigned bag

The maker’s anniversary page sets the ordering window through 13 November and expects dispatch around 7 December. The full-size grabe set costs ¥47,900 and the mini ¥45,900, both including Japanese tax. Delivery timing is an estimate, and the site warns that release dates may change.

Each set pairs an Atelier tote with a small zip wallet from the Sand-series hott family. The colour combinations are red with grey, olive with camel, greige with green, and natural canvas with navy. The photographs make the addition clear: the wallet hangs outside the tote instead of occupying an internal pocket.

## Two different approaches to the opening

The full-size grabe uses a snap opening and has eight external and five internal pockets. The mini takes a different approach, adding a zippered fabric extension at the opening. That distinction may matter more in daily use than the anniversary label.

Both use ALBERTON army-duck fabric with paraffin treatment and Tochigi leather details. The maker warns that friction, moisture and alcohol can cause colour transfer, particularly with red fabric. We have not tested weather resistance or ageing; the material descriptions do not amount to a lifetime guarantee.

## Order timing needs attention

These are advance-order sets, not a promise of immediate stock. The maker separates preorders from ordinary products in checkout and does not allow a requested delivery date for the preorder. A December estimate should not be treated as a guaranteed arrival for a particular trip or gift.

The official pages were checked on 27 October. We have not verified overseas checkout, Malaysian delivery or remaining quantities once ordering opens. The launch window is useful planning information, while actual availability still needs checking on the day.
