The low neckline and large patch pockets are the first things to notice. MUJI Labo’s **recycled-cashmere-blend collarless jacket** is part of its early-October 2026 arrivals, priced at **¥24,900 in Japan**. Black and ivory keep the choice simple. [MUJI’s current winter collection](https://www.muji.com/jp/ja/special-feature/clothes/mujilabo/?ref=simpl.asia) lists both.

It is a compact, four-button jacket with a relaxed outline, leaving room for a shirt or a fine knit at the neck. In the official photographs, the ivory version sits comfortably alongside pale trousers; black makes the front pockets and open neckline quieter. We can also see it with straight denim and a pair of well-used leather shoes. The shape gives familiar clothes a slightly different proportion without asking for an entirely new wardrobe.

MUJI’s official styling pairs the jacket with a similarly quiet palette. Photo: [MUJI / Ryohin Keikaku](https://www.muji.us/products/labo-cashmere-mix-collarless-jacket-af0jg26a?ref=simpl.asia).

## What the reclaimed label means

MUJI says the material includes fibres recovered from collected garments and production fabric, then broken down and spun again. The [US listing for the same AF0JG26A jacket](https://www.muji.us/products/labo-cashmere-mix-collarless-jacket-af0jg26a?ref=simpl.asia) specifies **45% reclaimed wool and 14% reclaimed cashmere in the outer shell**, alongside additional wool and nylon. It is a mixed cloth, with only part of its content reclaimed.

The black colourway shows the same open neckline over a lighter layer. Photo: [MUJI / Ryohin Keikaku](https://www.muji.us/products/labo-cashmere-mix-collarless-jacket-af0jg26a?ref=simpl.asia).

The front keeps its details visible: four buttons and two generously sized pockets. Photo: [MUJI / Ryohin Keikaku](https://www.muji.us/products/labo-cashmere-mix-collarless-jacket-af0jg26a?ref=simpl.asia).

That distinction is more useful than treating “cashmere” as a guarantee of quality. There is a material story here, but the everyday questions still matter: whether the shoulders sit properly, whether the pockets work for you and whether the jacket suits the way you dress.

The care notes are equally practical. MUJI warns that friction can cause pilling or scuffing, and that dark colours can transfer when wet. A recycled fibre story does not remove the need to look after the finished garment.

The cloth combines wool, reclaimed wool and cashmere, and nylon. This is a blend, not pure cashmere. Photo: [MUJI / Ryohin Keikaku](https://www.muji.us/products/labo-cashmere-mix-collarless-jacket-af0jg26a?ref=simpl.asia).

The jacket belongs to a wider October group that also includes men’s easy trousers and a double-weave balmacaan coat. Those arrivals were outlined in [the August season announcement](https://www.ryohin-keikaku.jp/news/articles/2026%5F0806%5F01?ref=simpl.asia); they are now a more timely part of the collection to examine as the weather turns.
