# Pigeon Tree’s new teacore belt takes the finish beyond the leather

Pigeon Tree’s new **Ultimate Teacore Belt** combines black-surfaced Horween horsehide with a newly developed blackened-brass quick-release buckle. The point is not just how the leather changes: the hardware has been chosen to reveal a different colour as its dark finish wears too.

The Savannah maker lists the double-prong belt at **US$265** and the single-prong version at **US$260**. Each is made to order; check whether the selected buckle is accepting orders.

We came across the release through [Oli Stevenson’s 9 October report for Heddels](https://www.heddels.com/2026/10/pigeon-tree-takes-teacore-seriously-with-its-ultimate-teacore-belt/?ref=simpl.asia). Pigeon Tree’s [own product page](https://www.pigeontree.com/products/ultimate-teacore-horsehide-quick-release-belt?ref=simpl.asia) sets out what distinguishes this edition from its earlier painted-black belts.

## A finish across the whole belt

Here, teacore describes a dark surface over leather with a lighter brown interior. Pigeon Tree uses natural Horween horsehide, averaging around 9oz with natural variation, and secures the buckle with its own blackened-brass stamped rivets.

The supplied construction is **riveted**. A stitched, worn personal sample also appears in the maker’s photographs; that is a requested variation, not the default version. Those ageing photographs document the maker’s belt, not a simpl. test.

The appeal is in the coordination: the strap and fasteners have been considered together, rather than treating the buckle as an interchangeable finishing detail. That is the design story. It is not a reason to promise that every owner will produce the same patina.

## Made to order, with a queue

The [shop’s newer homepage notice](https://www.pigeontree.com/?ref=simpl.asia) gives an **8–12-week** made-to-order queue and says Christmas delivery cannot be guaranteed. Confirm the queue and your selected buckle’s ordering status before paying.

Follow the maker’s measurement instructions as well. A belt measurement is not simply a trouser waist label, and an individually made order is a poor place to guess.
