A New Medium’s autumn/winter 2026 offering puts two familiar workwear materials in the foreground: waxed canvas for its Sportsman’s Jacket and 13.5oz selvedge denim for a Western shirt.
The label belongs to Iron Shop Provisions. Its current collection appeared in James’s 21 October Heddels feature, which is labelled as partnered content. The feature is the discovery source for this story; the date marks the coverage, not necessarily the first day of sale for every item.

The jacket’s useful details
The black Sportsman’s Jacket is listed at US$445. Its specification combines an 8.25oz waxed-canvas body with a Japanese red-check cotton lining and corduroy collar.

Upper handwarmer pockets sit above lower cargo pockets, with a storm flap behind the button placket and adjustable cuffs. The maker lists US sewing and Japanese lining and trims. It also explains the name: the design draws on sporting jackets but leaves out the oversized game pocket associated with some hunting garments.

That gives the piece a specific point of interest beyond a seasonal colour change. The pocket arrangement and layering room are the details to compare against a jacket you already use.
The denim counterpart
Heddels identifies the accompanying Western shirt as a US-made piece using 13.5oz GL-3 selvedge denim woven in Kojima. We have not independently confirmed its live size availability or price, so those are best checked with Iron Shop Provisions rather than inferred from the jacket listing.

The jacket and shirt give the collection two distinct textures: waxed canvas on one side, denim on the other. Both keep the focus on recognisable workwear shapes rather than a head-to-toe seasonal uniform.

Check individual stock, measurements and destination costs with the retailer. Waxed-canvas specifications and workwear references do not, by themselves, establish waterproof performance or a tested service life.
