Carl Friedrik and Williams F1 launch a 15L Grove leather backpack

The Grove capsule launched 22 October with a grained-leather backpack, a 33L weekender and smaller accessories. The backpack’s 15L format fits a 16-inch laptop.

Williams F1 announced the Grove travel collection on 22 October 2026, developed with luggage maker Carl Friedrik. The racing reference is obvious—chestnut leather, cream stripes and a version of Frank Williams’ 1977 “Forward W”—but the practical bag of interest is the 15L Grove Backpack.

The backpack sits alongside a 33L Grove Weekender, passport sleeve and luggage tag. The maker describes a run of 80 units per style; this is a production-limit claim, not evidence of what remains in stock.

Travel details beneath the stripe

The backpack is specified to hold a laptop up to 16 inches. Official product images show padded shoulder straps, a rear suitcase-handle sleeve, a front zipped section and grained-leather outer panels. Those are useful features to examine independently of the motorsport connection; their long-term wear and repairability have not been tested for this story.

Bethan Morgan’s 23 October T3 report also covered the collection and its travel orientation. The US Carl Friedrik storefront listed the backpack at US$895 when checked; local taxes and availability depend on market.

Collaboration, not durability certification

A numbered leather detail and special livery identify the partnership, but neither proves longer service life than Carl Friedrik’s regular range. Buyers should compare actual volume, comfort, warranty and repair arrangements against non-collaboration bags before treating scarcity or heritage as a functional benefit.
