The Fenix E40R puts a high-output boost into a rechargeable everyday-carry flashlight. The global manufacturer listing quotes a maximum 5,000 lumens and a 242 m beam distance, but the important operating detail is how that top setting works: Turbo is activated while the switch is held.
A boost, not a continuous promise
Releasing the switch returns the light from Turbo to its general lighting mode. Fenix also specifies thermal output reduction as the light heats up. The headline lumen figure should therefore not be interpreted as sustained brightness for an entire battery charge. We have not measured the output or beam distance ourselves.

Rechargeable and replaceable
The E40R uses a replaceable ARB-L21-5500 21700 battery and charges over USB-C. Fenix lists dimensions of 138 × 35 × 26.4 mm and a weight of 220 g including the battery. A clip and magnetic tail add carrying and hands-free placement options; whether a particular mounting surface will hold securely still depends on the situation.

Check the regional listing
The US Fenix Store listing shows $109.95. The global maker specification is used here for the 5,000-lumen figure because regional descriptions can differ.
