MUJI Week returns on 23 October, with everyday bags in the mix

MUJI Week returns on 23 October, with everyday bags in the mix

A useful offer starts with something you already need. MUJI’s next 10% member promotion in Japan runs from 23 October to 3 November 2026, with the Japanese online store continuing until 4 November at 10:00. Bags are among the eligible categories, subject to the campaign’s exclusions. MUJI’s campaign page sets out the conditions.

For anyone looking at a work bag, the three-way business model pictured here is a relevant starting point. It arrived in July, so this is a chance to revisit an existing release. Its shell is 100% recycled nylon with a water-repellent finish; the lining is 100% recycled polyester. It switches between briefcase, shoulder-bag and backpack carry, with internal organisation, a laptop compartment and an attachment for a suitcase handle. Those details come from MUJI’s product announcement.

One detail deserves attention: MUJI’s shoulder-load feature belongs to the backpack straps. The detachable shoulder strap does not have it. Water repellency also shouldn’t be read as waterproof construction.

The appeal is the flexibility. A bag that works for the commute and an occasional overnight journey can earn its place without needing a separate version for each. Fit, weight when loaded and access to your own laptop are still things to check in person.

How the offer works

There is no coupon code. Log into a Japanese MUJI member account online, or present the accepted membership identification at a participating Japanese shop. Registration is free; guest checkout does not qualify.

Overseas MUJI apps and cards are excluded, and the offer cannot be combined with tax-free shopping. Books, delivery and repair charges, and specified other goods are excluded too. Online orders must be confirmed and paid by the deadline. The campaign page gives the 10:00 cutoff without explicitly naming a timezone; it is a Japan-store offer.

Most store-pickup and in-store ordering services are also paused from 19 October to 11 November. Check stock and the final member price before paying; the useful saving is on the thing you were already going to use.
