A practical object does not need a fashion collaboration to deserve attention. Andrew McLemore’s 23 October GearJunkie equipment roundup highlighted Steele Canvas’s waxed travel bags, including its Waxed Canvas Garment Bag. The independent report is dated; a separate first-ever maker launch date was not confirmed.
The garment bag is listed at US$199.95 on Steele Canvas’s US site. It is made in Massachusetts from 10oz waxed canvas, with a pack-cloth lining described as water-resistant nylon.

The fold matters more than the label
At 43 inches high × 22.5 inches wide when laid out, the bag is intended to hold hanging clothing in a full-length cover. A zip gives access along the front, the upper opening accommodates hangers, and snaps at the ends secure the folded travel shape. The brand’s photos make the transformation from wardrobe cover to carried bag easy to see.
Waxed cloth can develop visible marks and a changing surface with handling. Those are material characteristics, not proof that this particular bag has survived years of travel.

Colour and lead-time conditions
Steele Canvas listed a typical 5–10 business-day made-to-order lead time for many products. At the source check, the maker said waxed-brown material was temporarily unavailable. Navy and olive photos are therefore not a guarantee of a particular colour’s current checkout status; international shipping and duties need their own confirmation.
