SUBU’s tenth-anniversary tour puts its winter-footwear collection in a setting where visitors can try the shapes rather than judge them from a catalogue. The Kyoto stop is scheduled at Shoden Eigen-in through 3 November, with advance reservations required.
A loafer shape without the heel
One example is DOTS LOAFER Black, shown here in the brand’s product and lookbook photographs. A bit-style metal detail gives the front a familiar loafer reference, while the back remains open. The Japanese online shop lists ¥12,100 including tax. That catalogue price does not establish the price or stock of a particular size at the event.
The official specification is a polyurethane upper, a brushed polyester insole and a synthetic-rubber sole. It should not be mistaken for a conventional leather loafer simply because the surface looks glossy in photographs. The construction and open heel make it a different proposition from a closed dress shoe.

The fitting opportunity
SUBU’s 19 October announcement describes an anniversary collection of ten forms and 22 colours alongside archive displays. Kyoto’s advertised hours are 11:00–16:30. Reservation availability has not been verified, and the venue photographs here are supplied previews, not images of an attended event.
A tour-exclusive item is also teased, but its exact specification and remaining stock are not established. The photographed DOTS LOAFER is a named catalogue model; we are not presenting it as that secret item.

Practical limits still matter
For DOTS LOAFER, SUBU advises gentle surface cleaning and shade drying and says to avoid a washing machine. Its size ranges are guidance, not a guarantee of personal fit. We have not tested warmth, grip or durability.
For readers outside Japan, this is a regional fitting and retail event. Malaysian stock, international delivery and access to a particular session remain unconfirmed. The useful reason to pay attention is the chance to compare unfamiliar sandal shapes on foot, not an assumption that an anniversary edition is inherently a better buy.
