master-piece adds an everyday shoulder bag to the Sash family

The new Sash M pairs a simple shoulder-bag shape with firm, creased KONBU-finished nylon. Enough room for a bottle and a notebook, without a full backpack.

Some days call for a bottle of water, a notebook and whatever was left in your coat pockets. A small sling can feel like a puzzle. A backpack can feel like more bag than the day needs.

The new Sash Shoulder Bag M from master-piece sits in that space. Released on 16 October, it joins the existing Sash family alongside a smaller shoulder version. The shape is straightforward: a soft square, short handles and a shoulder strap, with the interest coming from the cloth.

A little structure in the fabric

The No.03052 uses nylon with Komatsu Matere's KONBU finish. The brand describes the treatment as giving the cloth a dry, firm feel, with natural creases and a matte surface. Italian smooth leather supplies the trim.

The important part is that it looks comfortable with a few wrinkles already in it. A bag like this should not require careful arranging before you leave the house. Camel and Khaki feel particularly at home beside denim, loose trousers and a plain jacket; Black is the quieter choice.

Enough room for an ordinary day

master-piece says the M accommodates a 500ml bottle and A4 documents. It measures 37 × 37cm and weighs approximately 340g. A ring for small accessories can tuck inside when it is not needed.

Those details suggest a useful middle ground for someone who wants to travel lightly without reducing the day to a phone and wallet. The handles are worth noticing, too. Shoulder carry is convenient on a walk; a short handle is useful when moving between a chair, a counter and a train seat.

There is no reason to interpret the technical fabric name as a waterproof promise. The product notes warn that the leather can mark if it gets wet. They also explain that the fabric may show pale areas or make some noise because of its firm finish. Those are useful details to know before buying a bag for its texture.

Price and availability

At our 21 October check, the Sash Shoulder Bag M was available from the official Japanese store in Camel, Ivory, Black, Gray, Khaki and Navy at ¥28,600, including Japanese tax. The store offers international shipping to selected destinations; the final checkout price depends on the delivery country.

This is an addition to an established series, so check the model number when shopping: 03052 is the new M shoulder bag. The older Sash slings are different shapes. For this one, the appeal is simply having enough space without carrying a whole office along.
